Various techniques will be demonstrated and students will be working alongside Dwayne.
workshop attendees are encouraged to bring their own clay. Clay is available for purchase through Kickwheel. Firings services and glazes are available for purchase as well if participants desire such. Otherwise work created in this workshop will not be kept afterwards.
Homemade lunch will be available for purchase at the studio, $12/ea.
Dwayne Sackey is a Portland based functional potter working with atmospheric firing techniques. He earned a BFA from Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2019. Dwayne Sackey does not aim for “flawlessness”, his work leaves a trace of a fluid, organic process and a human set of hands.
