This hefty Mug resembles an antiquity. Fired over the course of 2 weeks from December 2021-January 2022 in the front of Anagama Kiln at Rock Rose Studio. This Mug is made from a Helmer Wood white stoneware/marbled with other darker, reclaimed clay which with the amount and type of wood curated and stoked, causes the flashing color pattern. The exterior of this mug is mostly unglazed, aside from a liner on the handle and rim and interior. A smooth handle and rim make for pleasurable sipping of both hot and cold beverages.
